The specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the CEO and Locus Bio-Energy management to help define and implement Locus Bio-Energy Solutions’ long-term strategic plan, setting the trajectory of the company’s growth
  • Perform company and industry analysis, financial modeling, financial reporting to the parent company, and preparation of power point presentations
  • Define, track, and communicate metrics around new initiatives; while comparing to previous outcomes
  • Compile and manage monthly and quarterly financial and non-financial reports identifying and tracking key performance indicators
  • Do activity and resource planning to produce detailed execution plans for the agreed strategy and other analyses to facilitate decision-making and managing project risk
  • Analyze and evaluate potential routes to market, growth strategies and new business opportunities


Qualifications / Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a financial modelling and reporting role in an oil & gas company, or alternatively, in a consulting firm or investment bank, preferred
  • Undergraduate degree in business with strong academic performance; candidates with a degree other than in business administration will be considered if they have taken relevant courses in accounting and finance
  • Outstanding modeling skills with Microsoft Excel – candidates without relevant modeling experience will not be considered
  • Strong strategic, analytical, planning, and organizational skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to produce results, deliver insights and meet deadlines
  • Market analysis and ability to produce overview and recommendations to the management team
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously – managing multiple tight deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and individual contributor
